Dubai Civil Defence Decor Drawing Approval

DCD (Dubai Civil Defence) :-

Once you prepare All architectural drawings for your business unit,next step is to prepare Fire fighting and fire alarm drawings as per DCD Regulation (Code of practice 2011)

Initial Approval:-

Initial Approval is  an online ACKNOWLEDGE receipt of your submission. (initial approval shall be accpeted by major free zone authorities and Building management to initiate the Submission process.

Final Approval:-

Final approval is the FInal NOC comes along with DCD approved Drawings which will allow you to start Fire fighting and fire alarm related works at your business unit (subject to building management approval)

Completion certificates:-

Once you complete all your Fitout works at your premises the next step is to invite DCD inspectors to your site for the final inspection . (list of documents for DCD inspection is mentioned below)

List of documents and for the Dubai Civil Defence  initial submission

1.Trade license copy of the Tenant (or Trade name reservation and Initial trade license copy)

2. Tenancy contract (or Title deed, SPA…etc)

3. NOC from Building owner/real estate/management

4. Affection plan (plot drawing)

5. AED 1030 (DCD FEE)

6. Existing and proposed drawings (as per new requirements)

2. Existing floor plan (2hrs Fire rated wall in Red colour,1hr in Blue)

3. Proposed floor plan (2hrs Fire rated wall in Red colour,1hr in Blue)

4. Flooring layout (eg:-ceramic, parquet, carpet…)

5. Ceiling layout (eg:- 60x60 gypsum tile, plain gypsum, aluminium…..etc)

6. Furniture/equipment layout

7. Section (showing vertical dimension)

8. Cover sheet (standard cover sheet)

9. Existing sprinkler layout (sprinkler pipes are in Green colour and sprinkler head in Red colour)

10. Proposed sprinkler layout (sprinkler pipes are in Green colour and sprinkler head in Red colour)

11. Existing smoke/heat detector layout (circuits are in Red colour)

12. Proposed smoke/heat detector layout (circuits are in Red colour)

13. Existing emergency & exit light layout (circuits are in green colour)

14. Proposed emergency & exit light layout (circuits are in green colour)

15. Device typical details (standard )

FROM FIRE FIGHTING CONTRACTOR

1.  Copy of Building AMC (Annual maintenance contract) (AMC is applicable only if NO changes in the EXISTING Fire alarm and firefighting items) (AMC shall be available with your Building Managemnt/Landlord)

2. Equipment supply and Installation Certificate for Fire Sprinkler

3. Equipment Warranty certificate for Fire Sprinkler

4. Equipment supply and Installation Certificate for Smoke detector & Heat detector.

5. Equipment Warranty certificate for for Smoke detector & Heat detector.

6. Equipment supply and Installation Certificate for Emergency and Exit lights.

7. Equipment Warranty certificate for Emergency and Exit lights

8. Fire alarm testing and commissioning report (If applicable)

9. Fire sprinkler commissioning report

10. Cable certificate

11. Warranty certificate

12. Fire alarm Interface connection certificate (for newly installed addressable FACP)

13. Additional applicable certificates for restaurant project (chemical suppression system and LPG Gas inspection report..etc.)

14. Fire rated Parquet flooring certificate  if there is wooden parquet flooring works

Note: AMC is applicable only for "NON MODIFIED FIRE ALARM and FIRE FIGHTING" works (retained same as existing items)

7. 6 pages of application typed in Arabic language (GREEN FILE is a mandatory item for DCD final inspection)
